Vaitheeswaran Koil
Vaitheeswarankoil is the central point in Nadi Astrology. In the Vaitheeswarn Koil, Lord shiva is believed to have taken on the role of vaidya or a doctor to ease the burdens and anxieties of his followers. In this temple, Lord Shiva is revered in the form of Vaidyanathar or Vaitheeswaran which means the “God of healing” and it is believed that praying to Vaitheeswaran will cure illnesses. It is pronounced as “vaideeswaran” when pronouncing in Tamil. The temple is considered to be one of nine Navagraha (nine planets) temples, and is linked to the planet Mars (Angaraka).
It is believed to have a sacred water in the temple complex known as siddhamirtham which is a nectar-based drink and holy dips in the drinking water has been believed to heal all ailments. Many siddhas back in the days of old performed abishek to the Lord of this area with nector and reaped many blessings. The nector used in abishek was mixed with holy spring. 18 theerthas can be found in the holy temple tank that can cure all the diseases that people suffer from. Lord vaidyanatha does not just heal the physical pain of people, but also heals them from chronic diseases that cause death and birth. The god of this temple is powerful enough to solve the world’s problems and grant every desire of a worshipper.
The story of vaitheeswaran Kovil
Vaitheeswarankoil (thirupullirukku Velloor) situated in the Indian State in Tamilnadu. This temple was dedicated Lord shiva. It is among the Navagraha Temples and I associated with the planet Mars ( Angaraka). It is believed that Lord Siva was able to cure the skin disease of Angaraka, which is the reason this temple is part of Navagraha Temples Club. You should take a holy dips in this temple Siddsmirta tank that is believed to have beneficial properties to treat skin disorders. The Treta Yuga the Lord Ram and his brother Lakshmana completed the final rituals of Jatayu by submerging ashes at jatayu Kundam.
